Monroe Police

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 5:08 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. Tracy L. McAfee, 34, rural Monroe, was southbound on 15th Avenue when she collided with a vehicle stopped at the stop sign on 15th Avenue at 11th Street. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. McAfee was cited for inattentive driving.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — A two-vehicle accident without injuries was reported in the 1300 block of Wisconsin 69 at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12. The driver of a Chevrolet Equinox was parking when the vehicle collided with a legally parked Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

•  A two-vehicle accident without injuries was reported in a parking lot the 1700 block of 2nd Street at 8:07 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14. The driver of a GMC Yukon was pulling into a parking stall when the vehicle collided with a legally parked Honda Pilot.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Thursday, Sept. 13:

•  One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 6:42 p.m. in the Town of Exeter. Zachary K.S. Turner, 26, Monticello, was southbound on County CC when an eastbound vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign at Vista Lane pulled out in front of him and the two vehicles collided. Neither Turner nor the other driver, Myriam M. Billar De Julian, 67, Belleville, was injured. A passenger in Billar de Julian’s vehicle, Noemi T. Billar, 65, Argentina, was injured and taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. The vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene. Billar De Julien was cited for driving without a valid license.

•  Abigail A. Foster, 16, Blanchardville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash reported at 9:20 p.m. in the W6100 block of County H, Town of New Glarus. She was westbound when she observed a semi in the roadway and moved over to give it more room but she went too far and veered into the ditch. Her vehicle was moderately damaged and towed.

On Friday, Sept. 14:

•  A two-vehicle crash with injuries was reported at 8:50 a.m. in the W5100 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Scott R. Riebe, 45, Brooklyn, was eastbound when he reported he slowed down while in the construction zone. An eastbound vehicle behind him, driven by Roger E. Bass, 52, Brodhead, collided with Riebe’s vehicle. Riebe reported injuries from the crash but was not transported from the scene by EMS. His passenger, 13-year-old Mary M. Riebe, was injured and taken by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER. Bass was injured and taken by Monroe EMS to the Mercy Hospital ER. Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed. The Monroe and Juda Fire Departments assisted at the scene.

On Saturday, Sept. 15:

•  Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident located by deputies at 10:52 a.m. in the W3100 block of Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. Helen E. Hafen, 90, Monroe, was attempting to turn eastbound onto Wis. 81 while exiting a driveway. A westbound vehicle driven by Alexandra M. Aguilar-Chambers, 19, Monroe, collided with Hafen’s vehicle. Both drivers were transported by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of their injuries. Hafen reported wearing her seatbelt. Her airbags deployed. Aguilar-Chambers was not wearing a seatbelt. The airbags did not deploy in her vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed. The Monroe Fire Department assisted on scene. Hafen was cited for failure to yield right of way from a driveway.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Sept. 13:

•  Stephanie R. Lydon, 55, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 7:57 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. The 2010 Ford was severely damaged and towed.

•  Ronald A. Baxley, 56, Scranton, Iowa, reported hitting a deer at 8:09 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall. No injuries were reported. Baxley’s 2018 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, Sept. 14:

•  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 6:56 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. Shullsburg EMS and the Apple River Fire Department assisted on scene.

On Saturday, Sept. 15:

•  Isaac A. Haag, 24, Belmont, reported hitting a deer at 6:21 a.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Kendall. No injuries were reported and Haag’s 2009 Ford sustained moderate damage. It was driven from the scene.
