Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Joan L. Hoeper, 80, Warren, reported injuries but declined medical attention following a car vs. deer crash in the W7500 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz, at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12. The airbags deployed in the vehicle. It was moderately damaged and remained on scene.


Monroe Police

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 13th Street and 28th Avenue at 7:58 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10. Jacqueline A. Wyss, 57, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Monroe man. Both vehicles sustained moderate to severe damage. Wyss was cited for inattentive driving.

•  Officers and Green County EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 1600 block of 12th Street at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11. Robert E. Severson, 91, Monroe, pulled out from a parking lot into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound on 12th Street. He was cited for failure to yield right of way while making a left turn.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Tuesday, Sept. 11:

•  Michael G. Riechers, 47, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 6:46 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported. Riechers’ 2016 Ram and the 2008 Polaris it was towing sustained moderate damage and were removed from the scene.

•  Ashley J. Walton, 33, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 8:12 p.m. on State Line Road, Town of Wayne. No injuries were reported. Walton’s 2004 Chevrolet sustained severe damage and was towed.

On Wednesday, Sept. 12:

•  Steve J. Fischer, 58, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 6:48 a.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Fayette. No injuries were reported. Fischer’s 2003 Yamaha sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

•  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 8:03 a.m. on County E, Town of Darlington. Lindsey E. Lee, 37, Shullsburg, lost control of her vehicle and hit a bridge. The 2000 Jeep was severely damaged and towed. The Darlington Fire Department and Darlington EMS assisted on scene.
