Monroe Police

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 3:54 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. Mary L. Stuessy, 83, Monroe, was westbound on 9th Street when she attempted to turn right onto 17th Avenue from the center left turn lane of 9th Street. She sideswiped a westbound vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Monroe woman who was turning right onto 17th Avenue from the proper lane. The vehicles sustained moderate damage and were removed by the operators. Stuessy was cited for making an improper left turn.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Kyle M. Haldiman, 17, Monroe, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash reported in the W6800 block of Rothenbuehler Road, Town of Monroe, at 7:42 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. He was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to enter the north ditch and overturn. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Green County EMS and the Monroe Fire Department assisted deputies on scene. Haldiman was cited for inattentive driving.

●  Brecklin A. Klosterman, 22, Monticello, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash in the W5300 block of Holloway Road, Town of Washington, at 2:11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. She was westbound when she advised that she swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle entered the south ditch and hit a utility pole. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — Andrea Varble, 38, Freeport, reported hitting a raccoon on County DD, Town of Gratiot, at 12:18 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. No injuries were reported. The 2017 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

●  Peggy A. Rolli, 65, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota, at 9:02 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. Her 2018 Ford sustained minor damage.

●  Trisha L. Rowe, 49, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on County K, Town of Darlington, at 6:44 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Her 2013 Audi sustained minor damage.

●  James L. Sinclair, 71, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs, at 7:39 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. His 2010 Toyota sustained minor damage.
