MONROE — A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 8:54 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Paul M. Anderson, 32, South Wayne, was southbound on 11th Avenue and attempting to turn west onto 5th Street when he collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by an 87-year-old Monroe woman. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Anderson was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

●  A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 2300 block of 18th Avenue at 9:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Officers eventually located the damaged suspect vehicle at Sir Buk’s, W5222 County KK. Investigation revealed Brandon R. Welsch, 44, Monroe, was northbound on 18th Avenue when his vehicle veered to the right and hit the rear driver side of a legally parked vehicle. Welsch then continued driving. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. The parked vehicle was towed by Jelle’s Towing. Welsch was cited for hit-and-run on an unoccupied vehicle, failure to report a traffic accident and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

●  A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 12th Avenue and 19th Street at 8:47 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. One of the drivers, Pedro Josue Colunga Munoz, 35, Madison, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign, no vehicle insurance and driving with a suspended license. He was also arrested on a warrant issued by Dane County for failure to appear in court for charges of driving without a license. He was transported to the jail, where he posted bond.

MONROE — On Saturday, Oct. 26:

●  Deputies responded at 7:42 a.m. to the N200 block block of West River Road, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a one-vehicle crash that had occurred overnight. Investigation found that Joshua S. Hoffman, 35, Browntown, was southbound when a malfunction caused him to lose control of the vehicle, lose control on a curve, enter the south ditch and collide with the embankment and a fence. He reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Hoffman was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of a crash.

On Sunday, Oct. 27:

●  Maxwell Thompson, 18, Monroe, sustained injuries in a rollover crash reported at 6:48 p.m. in the N5600 block of County J, Town of Adams. He was taken by Argyle EMS to a local hospital. He was southbound when his vehicle entered the gravel shoulder; he overcorrected and almost struck an oncoming vehicle, then overcorrected again and entered the ditch. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a stop on its driver side. It was towed. The Argyle Fire Department assisted deputies on scene. Thompson was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

● A two-vehicle crash was reported in the W6300 block of Illiff Road, Town of Monroe, at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. Shay R. Sager, 16, Freeport, was eastbound when he began making a U-turn into a driveway on the north side of the road and struck another eastbound vehicle, driven by Josiah D. Hertzler, 28, Monroe. The front of Sager’s vehicle collided with the front of Hertzler’s vehicle, with both vehicles sustaining functional damage. They were driven from the scene. Sager, Hertzler and Hertzler’s passenger reported no injuries. Sager was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

On Thursday, Oct, 31:

●  Benjamin M. Gilbert, 29, Potosi, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6:22 a.m. at Wis. 92 and County E, Town of Brooklyn. He was northbound on County E when he lost control due to the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle went into the ditch. It was towed.

●  Ian J. Hill, 21, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. in the N4200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was northbound when he lost control due to the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle hit a guardrail and came to rest. It was towed.

●  Sandra Milena Orozco Perez, 38, Freeport, and her adult passenger reported no injuries from a vehicle vs. tree crash at 6:40 a.m. in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue in Monticello. She was eastbound when she lost control due to the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. It was towed.

●  Justin P. Bowles, 34, Monticello, and William J. Ready, 23, Juda, reported no injuries from a two-vehicle crash at 6:45 a.m. on Wis. 11 at Balls Mill Road, Town of Sylvester. Ready was westbound when Bowles’ vehicle struck his vehicle. Bowles reported he lost control of his vehicle prior to it hitting Ready’s vehicle. Both vehicles were towed. Bowles was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

●  Scott J. Gregurich, 40, Monticello, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 7:05 a.m. in the N5400 block of County NN, Town of New Glarus. He was eastbound when he lost control due to the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a tree. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch and driven from the scene.

●  Brittany A. Moe, 24, Brodhead, reported no injuries from a vehicle vs. mailbox crash at 8 a.m. in the N3000 block of County N, Town of Monroe. Her vehicle went into the ditch after hitting the mailbox. It was towed out of the ditch and driven from the scene.

On Saturday, Nov. 2:

●  Deputies responded at 5:15 a.m. for a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the W2200 block of County EE, Town of Albany. Amilcar A. DeLeon Navaro, 27, Beloit, reported that he fell asleep while driving. The vehicle entered the north ditch and came to rest. DeLeon Navaro reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. DeLeon Navaro was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for inattentive driving and driving without a valid license and released pending court.

●  Deputies located a crash involving two vehicles and a dog at 7:17 p.m. in the W7400 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. Aaron F. Hartwig, 27, Browntown, was westbound when a dog entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. The dog then went into the eastbound lane, where it collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Megan K. Weaver Pollansky, 22, Madison. Hartwig and his passenger and Weaver Pollansky and her passenger reported no injuries. Hartwig’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Weaver Pollansky’s vehicle had no damage. The dog died. Deputies attempted to locate the owner of the dog but were unsuccessful.
