Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Nov. 4: 

● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington. James R. Ackley, 16, Darlington, was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve causing him to exit the roadway and hit a pole. His 2012 Dodge sustained severe damage. It was towed. Darlington Fire, Lafayette County EMS and Scenic Rivers assisted. 

● A deputy assisted Darlington police with a one-vehicle accident at 10:37 p.m. on Ann Street in Darlington. 

● Jonathon M. Adams, 39, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 5 on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. His 2008 Buick sustained moderate damage. 

On Nov. 6: 

● Peter W. Zito, 30, Scales Mound, reported hitting a deer at 12:32 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings. His 2014 Ford sustained minor damage. 

● Chloe G. Crapp, 16, Belmont, reported hitting a deer at 6:56 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove. Her 2015 Chevrolet sustained severe damage. It was towed. 

● Gary M. Benson, 63, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 5:02 p.m. Nov. 8 on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. His 2020 Toyota sustained moderate damage. 

● Shawn D. Rains, 37, Monticello, reported hitting a deer at 4:58 p.m. Nov. 9 on County F, Town of Darlington. His 2014 Ford sustained minor damage. 

On Nov. 10: 

● Sarah E. Hill, 39, Apple River, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 6:14 a.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. Her 2018 Chrysler sustained severe damage. It was towed. 

● Craig P. Pitzer, 39, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 5:06 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard. His 2005 Chrysler sustained moderate damage. 

● Jane A. Euler, 52, Warren, reported hitting a deer at 11:19 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Her 2021 Kia sustained moderate damage.
