MONROE — Tina M. Vietmeyer, 59, Orangeville, was transported by Green County EMS to SSM Health Monroe Hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a two-vehicle crash at 5:42 p.m. Oct. 28 on 14th Avenue and 14th Street. She was southbound on 14th Ave., sneezed and coughed causing her to go through the intersection without stopping. She hit a westbound vehicle on 14th St. operated by Julie A. Ames, 49, Monroe. Ames and a passenger reported minor injuries but declined EMS. Both vehicles sustained functional damage. Vietmeyer was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
On Nov. 3:
● No injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. fence accident at 2:17 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 7th Street. Tricia D. Goldsmith, 51, Pearl City, Illinois, exited the roadway and hit a fence. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. It was towed. She was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle.
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. on 8th Street and 3rd Avenue. Samantha J. S. Goodman, 21, Monroe, was westbound on 8th St. and hit the rear of another westbound vehicle which was stopped for a red traffic light operated by a 35-year-old New Glarus woman. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Goodman was cited for inattentive driving.
On Nov. 4:
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 6:45 a.m. in the N3900 block of County J, Town of Monroe. Thomas A. Hilliard, 60, Monticello, was northbound and entered the southbound lane to make a right turn into a driveway and was hit by a southbound vehicle operated by Leo G. Perez, 29, Argyle. Perez’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed.
● Alison H. Schwartz, 44, Janesville, was evaluated by Brodhead EMS for injuries sustained from a car vs. deer crash at 10:40 p.m. in the W600 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. She was eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and hit her vehicle. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage with front airbag deployment. It was towed. Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead Police Department assisted.
● Daniel K. Lattin, 26, Browntown, was transported by Monroe EMS for evaluation of injuries sustained from a one-vehicle rollover crash at 8:22 p.m. Nov. 6 in the W8200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. He was westbound when a deer entered the roadway causing him to swerve to avoid hitting it and lost control of his vehicle. He entered the ditch hitting an embankment and a culvert causing him to overturn. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed.

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 7:17 a.m. Oct. 27 in the W3800 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester. Tyler R. Pandow, 28, Monroe, was westbound when he swerved to avoid a deer and exited the roadway. He overcorrected and re-entered roadway, traveling across the median and coming to rest in the eastbound lane. His vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed by Don’s Towing. He was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control.
● Sebastian Zamudio Arreola, 21, South Beloit, and a passenger were transported by EMS to an area hospital for injuries sustained from a two-vehicle crash at 12:11 p.m. Oct. 30 on Wis. 81 and County T, Town of Spring Grove. Oliver P. Swift, 19, Davis, Illinois, was southbound on County T, stopped at the stop sign and pulled out into the roadway. He hit an eastbound vehicle operated by Arreola. Swift’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Arreola’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Brodhead EMS, Orfordville EMS, Brodhead Police Department and Brodhead Fire Department assisted. The crash remains under investigation.
● Julianne M. McGrath, 51, Browntown, was transported by Green County EMS for evaluation of minor injuries sustained from a car vs. deer crash at 10:08 a.m. Nov. 1 on County KK and Wis. 11. She was eastbound on Wis. 11 when a deer entered the roadway hitting her vehicle. Her vehicle sustained moderate front end damage. It was towed by Don’t Towing. Juda First Response and Green County Highway Department assisted.
● Brandon S. Richardson, 32, Monroe, was transported by Green County EMS for evaluation of injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 12:28 a.m. Nov. 3 in the N220 block of Bethel Road, Town of Clarno. He was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and exited the roadway on the east shoulder. He hit an embankment and went airborne over the driveway of a nearby residence. He continued to roll going airborne again hitting a tree and came to a rest. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. He was presumed to have not been wearing his seatbelt. He was placed under arrest on a second-offense charge of operating under the influence. He was also cited for failure to maintain control, open intoxicants in vehicle and for possession of THC. Monroe Police Department and Monroe Rural Fire Department assisted.
