Monroe Police 

MONROE — Officers were called to a one-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 12:19 p.m. Thursday, March 19. John Hansen, 74, Roscoe, Illinois, was southbound in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue West when he left the roadway and hit a power pole. His vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Hansen was cited for inattentive driving.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Hunter W. Metz, 18, South Wayne, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash in the N2500 block of County M, Town of Cadiz, at about 9 p.m. Friday, March 20. He was southbound when the vehicle entered the west ditch, then struck a mailbox and multiple trees. The vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. Metz was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

On Sunday, March 22:

●  Chasity M. Ostenson, 32, Brodhead, and a juvenile passenger reported injuries from a one-vehicle crash at about 3 p.m. in the W1700 block of County OK, Town of Decatur. Both declined medical attention. Ostenson was westbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch. The vehicle went over a culvert and struck a curve warning sign. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was left on scene, to be removed at a later time.

●  A vehicle fully engulfed in flames was reported at 8:41 p.m. at Skinner Hollow Road and County J, Town of Adams. Kent R. Johnson, 32, Monroe, was eastbound on Skinner Hollow Road when the cabin of the vehicle began filling with smoke. He pulled over, and he and his passenger, Daniel J. Ubersox, 35, Monroe, got out. They reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained damage to all areas. It was towed. Ubersox was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Green County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Sunday, March 22:

●  Cheyenne L. Meuth, 26, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 3:53 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard. The 2005 Buick sustained moderate damage. It was towed.

●  Bryan L. Brown, 64, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 3:57 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington. The 2019 Dodge sustained minor damage.
