Monroe Police

MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 19. Daniel S. Holst, 39, Monroe, pulled out from the stop sign on 15th Street to cross 14th Avenue and collided with a vehicle southbound on 14th Avenue driven by a 16-year-old Monroe boy. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene. Holst was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign.

MONROE — An accident with no injuries was reported in the W3400 block of Town Center Road, Town of Jefferson, at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, March 20. A truck driven by Charlayna R. DeVoe, 20, Monroe, was westbound when a hay bale fell from the truck bed, bounced on the road and struck a vehicle driven by Clarence E. Dobbins, 66, Monroe. Dobbins’ vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The hay bale was removed from the road

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, March 9:

●  A hit-and-run accident was reported at 4:56 p.m. on West Clinton Street in Shullsburg.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover at 5:11 p.m. on Jericho Road, Town of Belmont. Jerod M. Wedig, 35, Belmont, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the road and roll over. His 2005 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was towed. The Belmont Fire Department and Belmont EMS assisted on scene.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 5:27 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy came upon a vehicle in the ditch at 5:34 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 6:07 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. Devra M. Komprood, 22, Darlington, lost control of her vehicle, causing it to go into the ditch. Komprood’s 2012 GMC sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. The Shullsburg Fire Department and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover at 7:03 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. Jonathan Castelan, 24, Rockford, Illinois, lost control and his vehicle entered the ditch, rolled and hit a power pole. The 2008 Ford sustained severe damage and was towed. Shullsburg EMS and the Apple River Fire Department assisted on scene.

On Sunday, March 10:

●  A one-vehicle accident involving a female minor was reported at 3:27 a.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

On Tuesday, March 12:

●  Cody J. Langmeier, 26, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 6:10 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. His 2007 Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Wednesday, March 13:

●  Natasha S. Olson, 39, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 6:15 a.m. on Goodman Road, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. Her 2013 Ford sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Thursday, March 14:

●  Dennis G. Crist, 64, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 12:09 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Ram sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

●  A two-vehicle accident was reported at 4:12 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Green County EMS of Darlington, Green County EMS and the Darlington Police and Fire Departments assisted.

●  Donald J. Sauer, 53, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:06 p.m. on County O, Town of Kendall. No injuries were reported. The 2005 Chrysler sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

●  Thad R. Brenum, 26, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 9:32 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. No injuries were reported. The 2016 Buick sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, March 15:

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:55 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  Steven J. Humphrey, 59, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 9:08 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove. No injuries were reported. The 2017 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:31 p.m. on County N, Town of Argyle.

On Saturday, March 16:

●  Leon N. Wolfe, 74, Darlington, reported hitting a raccoon at 9:08 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour. No injuries were reported. The 2017 Hyundai sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday, March 17:

●  Peggy J. Weakley, 33, Rock Falls, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 6:43 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Minor injuries were reported. The 2011 Ford sustained moderate damage and was towed. A passenger, Michael R. Tuttle, 39, Rock Falls, Illinois, was arrested on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia and jailed. The Darlington Police and Fire Departments and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.
