Green County Sheriff

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 6:45 p.m. May 25 in the W4800 block of County KK, Town of Sylvester. Bradley J. Jones, 58, Brodhead, was westbound on Wis. 11 and turning onto County KK operating a dump truck and trailer. The trailer began losing traction, hit a curb causing the trailer to detach and overturn. The trailer sustained moderate damage. It was later removed. 

On May 27: 

●  Ross M. Kraemer, 44, Monona, was transported by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 7:46 a.m. in the N3500 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. He was westbound when he exited the roadway and entered the ditch. He then hit a culvert and went airborne, then came to rest in the ditch. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. It was towed. He was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control. Juda Fire Department assisted. 

●  A vehicle fled after a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop for speeding at 6:33 p.m. in the W7500 block of Franklin Road, Town of Cadiz. The vehicle then failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Ullom Road. The driver lost control exiting the roadway and entered the west ditch. The driver fled on foot into a wooded area. Deputies located the driver and identified as Mark A. Soddy, 35, Browntown. He was arrested on a felony charge of knowingly fleeing an officer. He was also cited for speeding and failure to keep vehicle under control. He was jailed


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On May 15: 

●  Gratiot Fire, Gratiot First and Green County EMS of Darlington responded for an ATV rollover at 11:53 p.m. at the Cheese Country Trail, Town of Gratiot. Deputies and Al’s Towing assisted. 

On May 23: 

●  Kaylee R. Litchfield, 26, Blanchardville, was transported by Mineral Point EMS to the hospital for minor injuries sustained from a one-vehicle rollover at 12:09 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. She was southbound when she entered the ditch, hitting a culvert and rolling several times. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Litchfield was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. She was also cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle. She was released to a responsible party. Mineral Point Fire assisted. 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 1:09 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. Matthew P. Johnson, 45, Darlington, was eastbound when he hit a cow. His 2011 GMC sustained disabling damage. It was towed. 

●  No injuries were reported from a minor two-vehicle accident at 12:51 p.m. on Mill Street in Blanchardville. Ray D. Neunschwander, 77, Browntown, was turning onto Mason Street from Mill Street when he took the corner too sharp and sideswiped a backhoe with the 2011 camper he was pulling. The camper sustained moderate damage. 

On May 24: 

●  Diana M. Flogel, 65, Platteville, reported hitting a deer at 12:03 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Benton. Her 2012 dodge sustained minor damage. 

●  Kalayah A. Nihles, 16, Benton, reported hitting a deer at 8:54 p.m. on Mound View Road, Town of Belmont. The 2006 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. It was towed. 

On May 25: 

●  Khiem M. Nguyen, 28, Fort Worth, Texas, reported hitting a deer at 1:38 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. The 2016 Toyota sustained severe damage. It was towed. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS assisted. 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 8:37 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. Mackenzie L. Bechtolt, 17, South Wayne, lost control of her vehicle causing it to exit the roadway, enter the ditch and hit a fence. 

●  Gracie L. Douglas, 19, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:57 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. The 2016 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. 

●  A one-vehicle rollover was reported at 9:16 a.m. on County E, Town of Darlington. Doylin Y. Ortez-Murillo, 30, Darlington, lost control of her vehicle causing it to exit the roadway, enter the ditch and roll over. The 2010 Toyota sustained severe damage. It was towed. She was cited for driving without a valid license. Darlington Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted.  

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 5:25 p.m. May 27 on English Hollow Road, Town of Fayette. Jimmy W. Mattison Jr, 39, Mineral Point, was southbound when he swerved to miss a deer and hit a rock wall. The vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed.
