MONROE — A vehicle vs. tree crash was reported at 7:57 p.m. July 23 in the N9300 block of County D, Town of Exeter. Catherine R. Booth, 16, Belleville, was northbound, looked at her cellphone, lost control of her vehicle, entered the east ditch and collided with a tree. She reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Booth was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control.

●  Jasten C. Halvorsen, 21, Brodhead, was taken by Brodhead EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for non-life threatening injuries after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 3:41 a.m. July 24 in the N300 block of County T, Town of Spring Grove. He reported he was southbound when he blacked out. His vehicle entered the east ditch and came to rest in a corn field. It was towed. Halvorson was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence. Rock County deputies, Brodhead police and the Brodhead Fire Department assisted on scene.

DARLINGTON —  On July 12:

●  Dustin L. Sigafus, 46, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 9:45 p.m. on South Prairie Road, Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported. His 2002 Dodge sustained moderate damage.
