MONROE POLICE 

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. July 24 on Wis. 69 and 17th Street. Richard E. Manring, 50, Monroe, was eastbound on 17th Street and turning north onto Wis. 69 when he hit a vehicle that was northbound on Wis. 69 operated by a 21-year-old McFarland woman. Manring’s vehicle sustained minor damage. The other vehicle sustained moderate damage. Manring was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for driving after revocation and unsafe lane deviation. He was jailed. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE —  On July 14:

●  Non-life threatening injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover crash at 12:27 p.m. in the W1100 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. Kathy A. Battle, 63, Brodhead, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the north shoulder and overturned. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. She was cited for inattentive driving. Brodhead Police Department, Brodhead EMS and Brodhead Fire Department assisted.

●  Brittney E. Tande, 26, Albany, was transported by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room for injuries sustained from a one-vehicle rollover crash at 11:35 a.m. July 15 in the N3500 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. She lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve in the roadway. She entered the west ditch, became airborne, overturned and then came to a rest. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. She was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle. Juda Fire Department assisted. 

●  Injuries were reported from a single-vehicle rollover crash at 11:12 p.m. July 17 in the W2300 block of County EE, Town of Albany. Elly R. Wild, 16, Monroe, was eastbound when she entered the south ditch, overcorrected and entered the north ditch hitting an embankment and overturned. A passenger, 17, Monticello, reported not wearing their seatbelt and was ejected. They were transported by EMS along with another 17-year-old passenger from Juda. Wild and another 17-year-old passenger from Monticello reported being injured but denied medical evaluation. The vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. Wild was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle.

On July 23: 

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle rollover crash at 5:45 p.m. in the W1800 block of County OK, Town of Decatur. Megan I. Gabel, 19, Janesville, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle, exited the roadway and overturned. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. She was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control. Brodhead EMS and Brodhead Fire Department assisted. 

●  Michael T. Edwards, 59, Monticello, was treated by Belleville EMS for injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 10:22 p.m. in the W2900 block of Wis. 92, Town of Exeter. He was southbound in the N8900 block of County D and failed to stop at stop sign at intersection with Wis. 92. He continued through the intersection and entered the south ditch of Wis. 92. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Belleville Fire Department and New Glarus Police Department assisted. 

On July 24: 

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 12:18 a.m. in the W8500 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. Timothy W. Andersen, 20, Monroe, was eastbound when he fell asleep entering the north shoulder and overturned coming to rest on the roadway. His vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. He was cited for inattentive driving, no vehicle insurance, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. 

●  Adam L. Perez, 44, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was transported by Green County EMS to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 8:31 p.m. in the W1800 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. He was eastbound when his vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. A passenger, Mandy L. Perez, 39, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, also sustained non-life threatening injuries.  

●  Jason Outhouse, 34, rural Brooklyn, and Paul Zimmerman, 58, Oregon, were transported to Madison area hospitals for injuries sustained from a two-vehicle crash at 3:44 p.m. July 25 on Wis. 92 east of Glenway Road, Town of Brooklyn. Outhouse was westbound when he crossed the centerline and entered the south ditch. A westbound truck operated by Zimmerman was hit and overturned. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Outhouse’s vehicle had airbag deployment. Both were towed. Outhouse was cited for failure to maintain control and open intoxicants in vehicle. Brooklyn EMS and Fire Department assisted.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On June 22: 

●   No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 4:17 p.m. on North State Street in Argyle. Dennis W. Mason, 79, Argyle, was southbound when he had an unexpected medical emergency. He crossed the centerline and hit a power pole. His truck sustained moderate damage. It was towed. He was cited for no vehicle insurance. 

On July 2: 

●  Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded for a one-vehicle accident at 10:14 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington. Darlington police and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office assisted. 

●  David L. Evans, 59, Woodridge, Illinois, was airlifted by UW Med Flight to UW Hospital for severe injuries sustained from a two-vehicle accident at 11:52 a.m. on County O and County W, Town of White Oak Springs. Hunter B. Wahl, 20, Casco, Michigan, failed to stop at a stop sign entering the intersection and hitting a vehicle operated by Evans, causing it to rollover. Evans’ passenger, Emma I. De La Cruz, 20, Coal Valley, Illinois, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital and later airlifted by UW Med Flight to UW Hospital. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. They were towed. Wahl was cited for failure to stop at stop sign and inattentive driving. Shullsburg Fire, Shullsburg EMS and Hazel Green EMS assisted. 

●  Ryan P. Differding, 22, West Chicago, Illinois, was transported to Monroe Clinic for moderate injuries sustained from a one-vehicle accident at 5:35 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. He was eastbound on the Cheese Country Trail on a dirt bike when he lost control causing the bike to tip over and land on him. He was cited for operating an off-road motorcycle without a safety certificate. South Wayne First Response, South Wayne Fire and Green County EMS assisted. 

●  No injuries were reported from a car vs. deer accident at 10 p.m. July 4 on County O, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Amy M. Lethlean, 46, Warren, reported hitting a deer at 4:01 p.m. July 8 on Meier Road, Town of Wayne. Her 2015 Ford sustained minor damage. 

On July 9: 

●  Jenna M. Stefan, 22, Denver, Colorado, reported hitting a deer at 1:11 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Her 2019 Mercedes-Benz sustained severe damage. It was towed. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS assisted. 

●  A deputy assisted Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with an ATV accident at 2:52 p.m. on Penny Benton Road, Town of Shullsburg. Shullsburg Fire, Shullsburg EMS and Benton Police Department assisted.

●  Amy M. Lethlean, 46, Warren, reported hitting a deer at 4:01 p.m. July 8 on Meier Road, Town of Wayne. Her 2015 Ford sustained minor damage. 

On July 9: 

●  Jenna M. Stefan, 22, Denver, Colorado, reported hitting a deer at 1:11 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Her 2019 Mercedes-Benz sustained severe damage. It was towed. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS assisted. 

●  A deputy assisted Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with an ATV accident at 2:52 p.m. on Penny Benton Road, Town of Shullsburg. Shullsburg Fire, Shullsburg EMS and Benton Police Department assisted.

On July 12: 

●  Apple River Fire and Shullsburg EMS responded for a one-vehicle accident at 2:40 a.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. 

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 7:26 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. Bernice M. Flogel, 67, Mineral Point, was westbound when she slowed to make a left-hand turn and was hit by a vehicle operated by Linda J. Brugger, 54, Darlington. Brugger was cited for inattentive driving. 

● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 12:13 a.m. July 15 on County O, Town of Kendall. Declan M. Fink, 16, Belmont, was traveling on CTH O when he hydroplaned exiting the roadway and hitting a telephone pole. His 2005 Chevrolet sustained severe damage. It was towed. 

●  Scott D. Cernek, 59, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 1:31 p.m. July 18 on Larse Road, Town of Gratiot. His 2015 Ford sustained moderate damage.

On July 19: 

●  Scott M. McDonald, 37, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 5:27 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. His 2021 GMC sustained minor damage. 

●  A deputy responded for a one-vehicle accident at 6 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle. Hunter R.A. Jensen, 26, Brodhead, was westbound when a round bale left the trailer he was pulling and hit a parked vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. 

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 12:41 p.m. on Pelco Drive in Darlington. Carol J. Lancaster, 79, Argyle, and Marilyn L. Johns, 77, Darlington, backed into each other in a business parking lot. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. 

●  A two-vehicle accident was reported at 10:31 p.m. July 24 on county I. Chad J. Argall, 49, Dodgeville, was backing up to park when he hit a parked Harley Davidson owned by Trent J. Harris, 58, Burlington. Minor damages were reported.
