Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On July 9:
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 5:52 a.m. in the W8700 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. The occupants had fled the scene. Responding deputies determined the vehicle was westbound at an unknown time when the driver lost control, entered the north shoulder and got stuck in tall grass in the north ditch. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed. While deputies were on scene, they saw a person walking behind farm equipment at a nearby business that was closed at the time. Deputies determined the person, Nickolas G. Ashley, 34, Middleton, had been involved in the crash and that he gave misleading information about the incident. He was cited for obstructing an officer. The case remains under investigation.
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 4:58 p.m. at Wis. 11 and County OK, Town of Spring Grove. Virginia L. Kussner, 71, Davis, Illinois, was westbound on Wis. 11 when she slowed to turn left onto County OK and was rear-ended by a westbound vehicle on Wis. 11 driven by Stanley T. Bruegger, 26, Warren. Kussner’s vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. Bruegger’s vehicle sustained moderate damage. He drove it from the scene. He was cited for inattentive driving.
On July 11:
● Mikayla R. Montalto, 25, Columbus, sustained non-life threatening injuries in a car vs. deer crash at 3:21 p.m. in the N8300 block of County E, Town of Brooklyn. Two adult passengers reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.

DARLINGTON — On July 9:
● Gunnyr R.M. Disch, 21, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 4:25 p.m. on County N, Town of Blanchard. No injuries were reported. The 2014 Dodge sustained minor damage.
