Monroe Police

MONROE — A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported on Wis. 69 at 2nd Street at 11:27 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27. A vehicle driven by Shawn J. Tracy, 31, Monroe, collided with a semi tractor and trailer unit driven by a 34-year-old man from Mount Carroll, Illinois. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Tracy was cited for driving with a suspended license, suspended registration and no vehicle insurance.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Friday, Jan. 25:

●  A plow truck accident with no injuries was reported at 11:12 a.m. in the W7700 block of County C, Town of Adams. Riley A. Whitney, 32, Juda was eastbound operating the plow truck when it entered the ditch and rolled onto its side. The plow truck sustained damage and was towed.

●  Jordan J. P. Pizzaolato, 21, Freeport, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 2:48 p.m. in the N1200 block of County K, Town of Jefferson. He was northbound when the vehicle lost traction on the snow-covered road, crossed the centerline and went into the ditch, where it collided with an embankment. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed.

●  Robert A. Lee, 32, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 2:59 p.m. in the W4000 block of Town Center Road, Town of Jefferson. He was westbound when he lost control of the vehicle due to the snow-covered road. The vehicle overturned one time and came to rest on the driver’s side. It sustained damage and was towed.

●  Charles A. Snider, 18, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 9:19 p.m. in the N500 block of Shueyville Road, Town of Clarno. He was northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. It left the road and hit a tree. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed.

On Saturday, Jan. 26:

●  Shawn M. Martinson, 22, Belleville, reported no injuries after deputies located a one-vehicle crash at 1:44 a.m. in the W4400 block of Wittenwyler Road, Town of Mount Pleasant. He was westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and went into the south ditch. The vehicle then hit a fence and power pole. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Martinson was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

●  Brady N. Smith, 16, Browntown, and his juvenile passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 11:13 p.m. at the intersection of Buckskin Road and Walnut Road, Town of Washington. Smith was eastbound on Buckskin Road when he lost control on a curve due to the snow-covered road surface. The vehicle went off the road and hit a traffic sign, then came to rest in the ditch. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed.

On Monday, Jan. 28:

●  Eugene D. Akins, 67, South Wayne, reported no injuries from a milk tanker accident at 7:19 a.m. in the W9000 block of County B, Town of Cadiz. Akins was eastbound when he noticed a small fire near the rear axle of the vehicle. He was able to put it out. The milk tanker sustained minor damage that was repaired on scene. It was driven from the scene. The Browntown and South Wayne Fire Departments responded with deputies to the incident.

●  Jered P. Barclay, 19, Belleville, reported injuries from a rollover crash at 2:57 p.m. in the N9400 block of Wis. 92, Town of Exeter. He was northbound when he lost control due to the snow-covered roads. His vehicle left the road, hit the east ditch, overturned and came to rest on its hood. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed. Barclay was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Friday, Jan. 25:

●  Marie I. Hendrickson, 65, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 7:05 a.m. on Kainz Road, Town of Blanchard. Her 2012 Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:53 p.m. on County E, Town of Darlington. A male juvenile lost control of the vehicle due to winter road conditions and hit a guardrail. The 2013 Infiniti sustained moderate damage and was towed. The Darlington Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.
