DARLINGTON — On Saturday, Feb. 2:
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:20 p.m. on Beebe Road, Town of New Diggings.
On Sunday, Feb. 3:
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 1:40 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. Deputies, the Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS of Darlington responded.
● Tina M. Schliem, 48, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 5:49 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. Her 2014 Dodge sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On Tuesday, Feb. 5:
● Tyler C. Komprood, 21, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs, at 6:58 p.m. His 2018 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On Thursday, Feb. 7:
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:51 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Brianna L. Miesen, 19, Belmont, was southbound when her vehicle went off the road into the ditch due to icy conditions. Minor injuries were reported. Miesen’s 2008 Chevrolet sustained severe damage and was towed. Belmont EMS, the Belmont Fire Department and Belmont police assisted a deputy on scene.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 5:11 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Victor A. Torres-Pedrosa, 28, was westbound when he lost control due to icy conditions and struck a guardrail. His 2008 Mazda sustained minor damage and was towed.
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:10 a.m. on County P, Town of Gratiot; at 6:32 a.m. on County W, Town of Monticello; at 9:24 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont; at 9:47 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota; at 12:02 p.m. on Cub Hollow Road, Town of Gratiot.
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 7:47 a.m. on Chestnut Street in Belmont. Cecilia A. Fink, 53, Belmont, was southbound when her vehicle slid through the intersection and hit a westbound vehicle driven by Thomas A. Kliebenstein, 62, Darlington. Fink’s 2011 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Kliebenstein’s 2019 Toyota sustained severe damage and was towed.
On Saturday, Feb. 9:
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 2:08 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover accident at 7:13 a.m. on County A, Town of Argyle. Evan D. Rossing, 25, Blanchardville, swerved to miss a deer, causing his vehicle to go off the road and roll. The 2012 Toyota sustained severe damage and was towed.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 2:06 p.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Kendall. Belmont EMS, the Belmont Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 10:23 p.m. on Godfrey Road, Town of Willow Springs. The vehicle driven by Steven L. Nethery, 60, Shullsburg, slid off the road and hit a fence. The 2010 Chevrolet sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.
On Sunday, Feb. 10:
● Judith A. Arn, 59, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 7:07 a.m. on County G, Argyle. Her 2018 Honda sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● Dennis D. Schliem, 59, Monroe, reported hitting a deer on Cisserville Road, Town of Wiota, at 3:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11. No injuries were reported. His 2017 Dodge sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On Tuesday, Feb. 12:
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 12:08 a.m. on County G, Town of Fayette; at 12:42 a.m. on Count P, Town of Monticello; at 3:33 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington; at 4:23 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington; at 5:39 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall; at 8:10 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg; at 3:02 p.m. on County E, Town of Darlington; at 4:20 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall; at 5:54 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont; at 7:05 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall; at 7:47 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello; at 8:55 p.m. on County E, Town of Shullsburg; and at 11:25 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
On Wednesday, Feb. 13:
● Deputies were called throughout the county in the early morning hours for several vehicles in the ditch or stuck on the road due to the weather conditions.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:42 a.m. on Jordan Wiota Road, Town of Wiota. Ashlee R. Woods-Cirks, 20, Elkhorn, lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions. The 2009 Dodge, owned by Conner H. Brumm, 23, Lake Mills, sustained minor damage and was towed. The Woodford Fire Department and Argyle EMS assisted on scene.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:35 a.m. on South McKnight Street in South Wayne. Joseph E. Ladow, 77, South Wayne, failed to stop for a stop sign, causing him to collide with a vehicle owned by Ronald E. Kay, 69, South Wayne. Ladow’s 2002 Toyota and Kay’s 2016 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. Ladow was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
● Dustin K. Thompson, 66, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 10:11 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. His 2000 Ford sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On Sunday, Feb. 10:
● Deputies responded for a report of a vehicle in the ditch at 2:18 a.m. in the N9200 block of County CC, Town of Exeter. Investigation revealed that Daniel A. Bourquin, 47, Belleville, was southbound when he reported he swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch and hit an embankment. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Bourquin did not remain on scene, and the accident was not reported at the time of the crash. When deputies later made contact with Bourquin, he reported no injuries. He was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, failure to keep a vehicle under control and operating left of center.
● Laura T. Timoti, 19, Roscoe, Illinois and her passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 2:39 p.m. in the W5900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Timoti was eastbound when she lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went off the road into the south ditch and hit a road sign. The vehicle sustained damage. Timoti was able to drive it out of the ditch, but it was later towed from the scene. Timoti was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
● Devon L. Jacobson, 25, New Glarus, was injured in a rollover crash reported at 6:48 p.m. in the N4100 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was taken by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER. He was southbound when he lost control on the snow-covered road. The vehicle entered the ditch and overturned. It sustained damage and was towed. The Monroe Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene.
● Zachary W. Ammon, 17, Juda, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 7:44 p.m. in the W8400 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. He was westbound when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle struck a guardrail and came to rest in the road. The vehicle sustained damage but was driven from the scene.
● Teearia A. Sweeney, 19, South Wayne, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 8:14 p.m. in the W8900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. She was westbound when she lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle struck a concrete bridge barrier and went into the ditch, where it came to rest. It sustained damage and was removed from the ditch before being driven from the scene.
On Monday, Feb. 11:
● A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported at 6:27 a.m. in the N7500 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Brett L. Niemann, 25, Monticello, was northbound when he lost control due to ice on the road. His vehicle slid into another northbound vehicle, driven by Sandra M. Duerst, 41, New Glarus. Both vehicles sustained damage but were driven from the scene.
● Curtis L. Jackson, 56, Argyle, reported no injuries from a rollover crash at 7:04 a.m. in the W8400 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan. He was eastbound when he lost control due to ice on the road. The vehicle spun around and entered the north ditch, where it overturned. It sustained damage and was towed.
● Brian L. Haberman, 59, Monroe, and his four passengers reported no injuries from a rollover crash at 7:40 a.m. in the W8900 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan. He was eastbound when he lost control due to ice on the road. The vehicle spun around and went into the south ditch, where it overturned. Haberman had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Browntown Fire Department. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Haberman was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
On Tuesday, Feb. 12:
● Haley N. Ferro, 25, Monticello, and her juvenile passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 4:46 p.m. in the N8000 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Ferro was southbound when she lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the east shoulder of the road. It sustained damage and was towed. Ferro was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance. New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Police and Fire Departments assisted deputies on scene.
● Terry D. Sperry, 60, Brodhead, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 5:04 p.m. in the W3900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester. He was westbound driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer when he lost control due to snow on the road. The pickup and trailer jackknifed, causing damage to both. Sperry was able to drive both from the scene.
On Wednesday, Feb. 13:
● Luis Rafael Moscoso Martinez, 25, Freeport, and his adult passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 5:02 a.m. in the N100 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. He was northbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle went into the east ditch. It sustained damage and was towed.
● Anthony R. Neuenschwander, 19, Monticello, and his adult passenger reported no injuries from a rollover crash at 12:23 p.m. in the N2700 block of Smock Valley Road, Town of Jordan. He was southbound when he lost control on a snow-covered curve. The vehicle crossed the centerline and went into the west ditch. It then tipped over, coming to rest on its side. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Neuenschwander was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
