MONROE — A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 8:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7. Officers located the offending vehicle within minutes in the 700 block of 17th Street. Israel Gonzalez-Ojeda, 37, Monroe, was westbound when he sideswiped an eastbound vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Monroe man, then drove off with a tire missing. There were no reported injuries and severe vehicle damages. Gonzalez-Ojeda was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and cited for driving with a revoked license and no vehicle insurance, hit-and-run on an attended vehicle and operating left of center. He was booked and released pending court.

●  Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. Kari R. Rosenstiel, 29, Monroe, was westbound on 9th Street when she collided with a northbound vehicle on 20th Avenue driven by a 20-year-old Orangeville woman. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Rosenstiel was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE —  Zachary E. Henry, 22, Albany, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash located by deputies in the N7300 block of County X, Town of Brooklyn, at 8:31 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. He lost control while entering the road from a private parking lot. The vehicle went over a culvert and came to rest in the ditch. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Henry was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control. He was released pending court.

On Sunday, Feb. 9:

●  Sydney M. Mortaloni, 19, Albany, reported no injuries from a rollover crash at 8:21 a.m. in the N6500 block of County E, Town of Albany. She was southbound when she lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the west ditch, where it overturned and came to rest. It sustained moderate damage and was towed.

●  Sarah A. McCarthy, 29, Belleville, sustained non-life threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash reported at 10:40 a.m. in the N9200 block of County CC, Town of Exeter. She was southbound when she lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the east ditch and came to rest. It sustained moderate front-end damage. It was left on scene. McCarthy was taken by Belleville EMS to a Madison hospital. The Belleville Fire Department and Green County Highway Department assisted deputies on scene.

●  Alyssa A. Defazio, 20, Kenosha, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 3:35 p.m. in the W6300 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. She was eastbound when she lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a traffic sign. It sustained functional damage. It was towed out of the ditch.

●  Zachary M. Burrows, 22, Princeton, Illinois, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6:02 p.m. in the N6300 block of County N, Town of Washington. He was northbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle exited the road and hit a drainage ditch. It sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed.

●  Maria Luisa C. Rodriguez, 27, Freeport, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6:35 p.m. in the N8000 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. She was southbound when she lost control due to snow. The vehicle entered the east ditch and hit a utility pole. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. It was towed. Alliant Energy responded.

●  Jacey K. Lyons, 20, Monroe, reported no injuries after deputies responded for a vehicle in the ditch at 8:10 p.m. in the W3000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson. She was eastbound when she lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle was towed from the ditch. Lyons was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
