Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — Barbara A. Kolb, 35, Blanchardville, reported striking a deer on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard, at 4:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. Her 2015 Jeep sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

●   Timothy R. Hanson, 39, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer on County N, Town of Argyle, at 5:17 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21. No injuries were reported. His 2003 Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

●  Jason J. Powers, 36, Madison, reported hitting a deer on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall, at 4:59 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. No injuries were reported. His 2001 Mazda sustained severe damage.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25:

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 1:52 a.m. on Blake Street in Blanchardville. Benjamin R. Blohm, 21, McFarland, lost control of his 2016 Ford, causing the vehicle to strike a power pole. The Ford was severely damaged and towed. Blohm was cited for driving too fast for conditions, deviating from the lane of traffic and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The Blanchardville Fire Department and Blanchardville EMS assisted deputies on scene.

●  No injuries were reported from two simultaneous one-vehicle accidents at 4:26 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. Randolph J. Darrow, 61, Platteville, hit a slick spot and lost control of his 2002 Ford, which left the road and entered the west ditch. Darrow’s Ford sustained moderate damage and was towed. Benjamin O. Amend, 21, Livingston, also hit a slick spot and lost control of his 2011 Ford, which left the road and entered the east ditch. Amend’s Ford sustained moderate damage and was towed. The Belmont Fire Department and Belmont EMS assisted on scene.

●  Evelyn L. Bell, 81, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 5:09 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington. No injuries were reported. Her 2009 Pontiac sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Amber L. Ploessl, 30, Argyle, was transported by Blanchardville EMS for her injuries in a single-vehicle rollover accident reported in the W9500 block of Wis. 81, Town of Adams, at 10:32 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21. She was westbound when she began to enter the north shoulder. She overcorrected, and the vehicle traveled across the centerline, went into the south ditch and overturned, come to rest on its tires. Ploessl was ejected from the vehicle. She reported no seatbelt use and no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed. Ploessl was cited for not wearing a seatbelt and for operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The Argyle Fire Department assisted deputies on scene.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26:

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 5:05 p.m. in the Town of York. Ryan C. McNett, 42, Monroe, was backing from Reeson Lane onto Sawmill Road to travel eastbound on Sawmill Road. Jakob J. Koerwitz, 16, Barneveld, was westbound on Sawmill Road when he came over the crest of the hill and collided with McNett’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

●  Nancy L. Larson, 67, Argyle, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 9:05 p.m. in the N3100 block of Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. She was westbound when she believes she hit an icy spot on the road. Her vehicle entered the north ditch and collided with a traffic sign. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
