Monroe Police

MONROE — A three-vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 16. Harold C. Field, 73, Monroe, was southbound when he rear-ended another southbound vehicle, driven by a 61-year-old Monroe woman. She was stopped in traffic waiting for the vehicle ahead of her to turn left onto 1st Street. She in turn rear-ended the vehicle ahead of her, driven by a 55-year-old Monroe woman. Both women sustained injuries in the accident and were transported by Green County EMS to Monroe Clinic. All three vehicles sustained severe damage, with the first two being towed and the third still operable. Fields was cited for inattentive driving.

MONROE — On Saturday, April 13:

●  Bailey E. Matthys, 16, Brodhead, reported no injuries from a vehicle vs. tree accident at 11:06 p.m. in the N4200 block of Park Road, Town of Decatur. She was southbound when she lost control due to mechanical issue with her vehicle. It went into the ditch, where it struck a tree. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and was towed.

On Sunday, April 14:

●  Ryan S. Johnson, 37, Albany, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 9:23 a.m. in the W1700 block of County EE, Town of Albany. He swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his vehicle, which went off the north side of the road and collided with a tree. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON — On Friday, April 12:

●  Tina Y. Dammen, 29, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 12:42 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday, April 13:

●  A rollover accident was reported at 12:54 a.m. on County D, Town of Wayne. As a result, Savannah E.A. Babler, 28, South Wayne, was cited for operating under the influence and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. Deputies assisted the South Wayne Fire Department, South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS on scene. The 2017 GMC sustained severe damage and was towed.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:49 p.m. on Spring Brook Road, Town of Wiota. A deputy assisted the Wiota Fire Department on scene. The vehicle was towed.

●  Austin E. Meier, 21, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 8:40 p.m. on Mink Farm Road, Town of Wayne. No injuries were reported. The 2009 Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
