MONROE - A rural Argyle woman charged with being an accomplice in a marijuana-growing operation pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years of probation on Monday, Feb. 13, in Green County Circuit Court.
Jean C. Anderson, 62, is convicted of a Class I felony charge of maintaining a drug-trafficking place and misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing marijuana with intent to deliver.
In December 2010, drug enforcement investigators reported seizing 206 plants in her basement and shed in the W8500 block of Meadow Brook Road in the Town of Adams, plus more than 100 vacuum-sealed quarter-ounce bags of marijuana.
A man she was living with, Blake L. Schneider, 57, was sentenced in January to one year in prison for running the marijuana business.
Anderson has paid the court in full her fines of $821. As part of her probation conditions, she agreed to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and any recommended counseling.
