MONROE - At the end of a two-day trial, a jury affirmed a Monroe woman's not-guilty plea and cleared her on Friday, Jan. 27, of charges that she conspired in an April 2010 burglary on the city's northeast side.

Deanna Monique Hoffman, 25, was found not guilty on two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge that she plotted a burglary and theft in the 2400 block of 4th Street on April 29, 2010, and later lied to police about what transpired.

Two Monroe men, Justin W. Young, 25, and Dustin W. Smith, 26, have been convicted of carrying out the burglary. Stolen in the break-in were a 65-inch television worth about $2,500, a computer worth about $1,500 and $194 in cash.

Hoffman pleaded not guilty to all counts in March 2011.
