William G. Moyer, 74, of Shannon, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at the V.A. Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. William was born on September 14, 1940 in Freeport, the son of William and Anna Mae (Klontz) Moyer. William drove for Schneider Trucking and also worked as a Metal Specialties. He was a member of Local 75. William was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Eagles Club 679, Moose Lodge and the V.F.W. William enjoyed going to sporting events and following all of his grandchildren's activities.

Surviving are his sons, William (Stacey) Moyer of Monona, WI, Paul (Regina) Moyer of Monroe, Richard (Sherry) Moyer of Mazomanie, WI, Gary Moyer of Pearl City and Roger (Tina) Moyer of Janesville, WI; daughters Ruth Rockwell of Elko, NV, Kim (Steve) Martin of Pearl City, and Deb (Joe) Myers of Mt. Carroll. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, two daughters, Ann Marie Moyer and Paulette Schubert; granddaughter, Amber Moyer and grandson, Derrick Moyer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Rev. Glen Scott will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in William's memory.
