WHITEWATER - William F. Buehl, age 80 of Whitewater, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. He was born November 22, 1929 in Monroe, Wis., the son of William and Ada (Legler) Buehl. He married Phyllis Zanoni on August 6, 1949. William owned and operated the Driftwood Supper Club in Jefferson, later known as Buehl's Supper Club and then later was a realtor for Century 21 in Jefferson. He was a member of the Jefferson Rotary and Masonic Lodge in Monroe, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Elkhorn; two daughters, Rebecca (Thomas) Reichert of Delavan and Shelley Wiegand of Waukesha; one son, Mark (Ann) Buehl of Oregon, Wis.; four grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan Reichert, Addie and Emilie Wehr; nine great-grandchildren, Rylie and Madison, Warren, Mia, Spencer, Roan, Alexis, Chase, Chelsea; one sister, Gladys (Walt) Williams of Brodhead, Wis.; also nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Bertha.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
