Wayne L. Huston age 60, of Monroe, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1952, the son of Enoch and Geraldine (Fralick) Huston. Wayne graduated from Monroe High School in 1971. Wayne and Vickie (Legler) Huston were married on June 21, 1980.

He entered the U.S. Navy on August 2, 1971 and was honorably discharged on August 25, 1979; he also was in the National Guard for 12 years, retiring in 1992.

Wayne most recently operated Odyssey Homes Landscaping, which he started in 1987, and also was a chef at Queen Anne's Catering at the West Side Club in Madison. He was a member of the Cecil Jones V.F.W. post #2312 and also the Zilmer Riley American Legion post #84.

Surviving is his wife, Vickie Huston; father, Enoch "Eddie" Huston of Monroe; sons, Clinton (Dianne) Boeck of Romeoville, IL; Brandon (Jodi) Welsch of Plymouth, WI; brothers: Doug (Nancy) Huston of Dakota, IL; Greg Huston of Monroe, Willie Huston of Monroe, Lloyd Huston of Madison, Richie (Laurie) Huston of Sturgeon Bay; sister, Sue (Jim) Shelton of Juda; and 6 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Lowell Stuessy officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established in Wayne's memory.
