Wanda E. Myers, age 92, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on February 14, 1923 in Woodford, the daughter of Ted and Ruth (Johnson) Ableman and graduated from Monroe High School.

Wanda and Archie Myers were married on September 7, 1947 at Grace Lutheran Church.

She was employed with Wisconsin Power and Light prior to marriage.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for 25 years, served on the Board of Directors of Churchill Woods Apartment and was a member of Monroe Country Club. She also was a Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed playing bridge, being a member of several clubs. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother; making many of the clothes the girls wore. She was an avid sports fan, going to many baseball and football games.

She is survived by her husband, Archie Myers, of Monroe, daughters, Marilyn (William) Smithyman of Milwaukee, Rev. Carolyn (John) Fredriksen of Franklin, Deborah Myers of Lake in the Hills, IL; brothers, Robert (Janet) Ableman of Monroe and Herbert Ableman Middleton; sister, Darlene Nuckles of Monroe; granddaughter, Rachel (Kyle Miller) Smithyman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dean Ableman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1025 15th Avenue in Monroe, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 24th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
