Walter R. Minder, 66, Marshfield, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 18, 1948 to Walter and Lucile (Striker) Minder in Monroe, WI. Walt graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1970 and received a law degree from UW-Madison in 1973. He practiced law in Marshfield for over 35 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Walt married Paula M. French on June 2, 1973 in Madison. They had two children, Chad and Amber. Walt was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was active in Rotary, Opportunity Development Centers (ODC), and the Foundation of St. Joseph's Hospital. Every year he enjoyed putting up the large Christmas tree showcased during Rotary Winter Wonderland.

He is survived by his wife, Paula, his children, Chad Minder and Lesli Pluster and Amber and Richard Pollock, and his step-grandchildren, Michael and Anna Pollock. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Judith.

A celebration will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marshfield with Pastor Patti Steevens officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 1-3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Walt requested that memorials be given to Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation (cancer), ODC, or Rotary Winter Wonderland.
