MONROE - Two Green County residents were charged with felony possession of child pornography last week, following separate incidents apparently stemming from a state investigation.

Scott T. Creed, 17, Monroe, is charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography by a person under 18, a Class I felony.

His preliminary hearing is set for June 21, before Green County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Vale.

Braden T. Schettler, 18, New Glarus, is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography by a person under 18.

His initial appearance is June 6, also before Vale.

Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley said that both cases are being handled by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation.

"It is not possible to discuss the cases at this time," said Dave Matthews, director of the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
