Troy A. Gorr, age 18, died on Monday, September 15, 2014 in a farming accident. He was born on March 28, 1996 in Monroe, the son of Todd and Debra (Spooner) Gorr. Troy was a 2014 graduate of Monroe High School and planned to attend UW short course this fall. He worked as a farm hand for Jeff Malkow Farms.
Troy was a member of Clarno United Methodist Church, Monroe FFA, Jolly Mixers 4-H Club, American Hereford, Angus and Simmental Association, and the Black Hawk Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Debra Gorr of rural Monroe, brothers, Trevor and Traiten Gorr both of rural Monroe; maternal grandparents, Don (Ann) Spooner of Brodhead, paternal grandfather, Jerry Gorr of Juneau, WI; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Donna Gorr.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor David Busker officiating.
A visitation will be Thursday, September 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Troy's memory at Sugar River Banks.
