Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday on Disch Road near Farmers Grove Road in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Reid P. Zanoya, 17, Monticello, left the road and hit a tree due to a problem with the steering mechanism. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

n A vehicle driven by Jennifer L. Sigafus, 39, South Wayne, collided with a deer at about 4 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 69 and Aebels Road in Monroe township. The vehicle received minor damage.

DARLINGTON - Two people was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4:15 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in Benton township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Louis A. Weis, 81, Hazel Green, swerved across the road several times before it left the road and went into a business parking lot. The vehicle hit a parked vehicle owned by Jeremey Leifker, Bettendorf, Iowa. Weis and his passenger, Rose M. Weis, 72, Hazel Green, sustained injuries. Deputies said the accident may have been due to a medical condition. The vehicles received extensive damage and were towed. Benton Fire Department and Benton First Response assisted at the scene.

n A vehicle driven by Jeremiah J. Hocking, 18, South Wayne, collided with a deer at about 7:15 a.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in Wayne township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

n A vehicle driven by Sharon K. Signer, 62, Gratiot, collided with a deer at about 3 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in Gratiot township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

n A vehicle driven by Peter A. Whitcomb, 41, Gratiot, collided with a deer at about 6 p.m. Monday on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs township.
