MONROE - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 69 at Franklin Road, Clarno Township. Mark S. Lang, 55, Orangeville, was northbound and attempting to make a left turn onto Franklin Road when his vehicle was hit from behind. Nichole M. Betthauser, 34, Monroe, told responding officers she had looked down and did not notice the Lang vehicle in front of her and she was unable to stop in time or go around. Lang's vehicle sustained severe rear-end damage and was towed from the scene. Betthauser's vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene. She was cited at 7:35 a.m. for inattentive driving and released pending court.

• Jane M. Larson, 51, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the N3800 block of County N, Monroe Township, at 3:38 p.m. Larson was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

• Kelli E. Hedges, 25, New Glarus, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the W2100 block of Wisconsin 92, Town of Brooklyn, at 6:58 p.m. Sunday. Hedges was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. The deer was killed in the collision and left for pick-up.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - David J. Miller, 38, Madison, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on U.S. 151, Belmont Township, at 4:20 p.m. Friday.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 11, Village of South Wayne, at 6:23 p.m. Sunday. Taylor K. Klemm, 19, Browntown, was backing out of a parking stall and hit a vehicle driven by Carol J. Nelson, 55, Clinton. Klemm's vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
