MONROE - On Thursday:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 20th Avenue and 13th Street, Monroe, at 6:32 a.m. Monroe Police Detective Steven E. Gately was driving an unmarked squad car and stopped at a stop sign on 13th Street. A vehicle driven by Kurt D. Muller, 63, Freeport, was southbound on 20th Avenue and made a left turn onto 13th Street. Muller's vehicle hit the front side of Gately's squad car. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

• Nian Liu Baumgardt, 31, Palatine, Ill., was uninjured in a one-motorcycle crash that occurred on County J at Farmers Grove Road, Town of New Glarus, at 5:04 p.m. Baumgardt was northbound on County J when her motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve at Farmers Grove Road. Her bike left the road and came to rest in the grass. The loose gravel on Farmers Grove Road was a factor in the crash. The bike was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
