GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF
MONROE - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, on Wisconsin 11 near County MM in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies report a vehicle driven by a Matthew G. Ditzenberger, 29, rural South Wayne, was traveling west on Wis. 11 when he lost control of the vehicle, which slid across the roadway and struck a guardrail on the north side of the road. The vehicle then slid back across the road and struck a guardrail on the south side of the road. The vehicle then came back across the road and struck a concrete bridge barrier, coming to rest. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Ditzenberger and a passenger in the vehicle, Matthew L. Mau, 22, rural South Wayne, were transported to Monroe Clinic hospital emergency room by Monroe EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. Browntown Fire Department assisted at the scene. Ditzenberger was cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (MVWI)-1st offense, failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, operating left of center and violation of mandatory seatbelt laws. Ditzenberger was released to a responsible person, with a future court date. Ditzenberger and Mau were released from the hospital.

Hoff, 22, Beloit, was westbound on Decatur Road when he attempted to turn onto Race Road and lost control. The vehicle skidded to the west, entered the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top. Hoff sustained injuries but refused medical treatment. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Hoff was arrested for operating while under the influence-1st offense, and cited for driving too fast for conditions and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Hoff was released pending court.

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday on Twin Bridge Road in New Diggings. Deputies report Nicholas Hill, 21, Shullsburg, lost control of his vehicle, which then left the road and overturned. Hill was transported by private vehicle to a hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries. Hill was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
