Traffic Accidents: Sept. 26, 2009

MONROE POLICE

MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Thursday at 16th Avenue and 9th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Debra L. Amacher, 48, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Brenda A. Olson, 46, Argyle. A passenger in Olson's vehicle, Jamie L. Anderson, 17, Argyle, sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment. Amacher was cited for inattentive driving and released pending court.

GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a vehicle-versus-cow accident at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday on Greenbush Road east of Balls Mill Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Julia R. Marty, 17, Monticello, collided with a steer in the road. The vehicle received moderate damage. The steer, owned by Donovan L. Prien, 80, Monroe, was euthanized.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8:45 p.m. on County G in Belmont township. Deputies report Roger L. Riechers, 59, Belmont, was injured when his vehicle left the road and overturned. The Belmont Fire Department and Belmont Ambulance assisted at the scene. No further information was available.
