DARLINGTON - A deputy responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, on County W, Town of Gratiot. Upon arrival, the deputy located a vehicle in the middle of a field. Investigation showed that Gary D. Hay, 62, Warren, Ill., was southbound on Tiny Road when he missed a stop sign, drove over a ditch and stopped about 75 yards into a field. Hay was cited for failure to notify police of an accident.
