MONROE - On Wednesday:

• Brett A. Grinder, 18, New Glarus, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the N9500 block of County O, Town of New Glarus at 5:33 a.m. Grinder was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Gerald V. Stietz, 40, Browntown, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the W8500 block of Hale Road, Town of Cadiz, at 5:38 a.m. Stietz was eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• One person received non life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 81 near the driveway to Pleasant View Nursing Home. Marilyn E. Torkelson, 78, Blanchardville was eastbound on Wis. 81 and turning left into the driveway of the nursing home and turned in front of a westbound pickup truck driven by Donald H. Friedrich, 68, Blanchardville. Torkelson sustained minor injuries in the crash and was treated by EMS on scene. Friedrich was not injured and his vehicle received moderate to severe damage and was towed from the scene. Torkelson's car was extensively damaged and towed from the scene. Torkelson was cited for failure to yield right of way while making a left turn. Wis. 81 and County N were closed briefly due to the accident. Deputies, Monroe EMS, Monroe Fire and First Response and Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the crash.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the W300 block of Atkinson Road, Town of Albany, at 4:03 p.m. Marvin E. Hanner, 73, Juda, and David S. Peddie, 63, Davis, Ill., were both backing their vehicles up and they collided. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• Deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on County XX, Township of Belmont at 4:43 a.m. Upon arrival, Platteville Ambulance was alerted to the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Courtney G. Wallin, 17, Darlington, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township at 8:32 p.m.
