Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported at 3:06 p.m. Thursday, April 5, after Daniel R. Gerber, 20, New Glarus, collided with a deer on County N about one-half mile north of Robey Road in the Town of Washington. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.

No injuries were reported at 10:23 p.m. Thursday, April 5, after Theresa M. Wittenwyler, 62, of rural Monticello, hit with a deer on County F north of Wittenwyler Road in the Town of Mount Pleasant. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Blackhawk Schools in South Wayne. Brett E. Paulson, 16, Monroe, was driving through the parking area when another juvenile jumped onto the hood of the vehicle. Paulson reacted by stopping quickly and backing up, hitting a vehicle driven by Ashly A. Larson, 16, Gratiot. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

The Lafayette County Highway Department assisted at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in the cleanup of spilled fertilizer on the roadway between County O and Silverthorn Road in the Town of Shullsburg. The spill covered the entire roadway, making it a hazard for drivers.
