DARLINGTON - A deputy responded at 5:12 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, to County D in the Town of Fayette for a report of a tree down and blocking the road. The Lafayette County Highway Department removed the tree from the road.
- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident reported at 7:58 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, on South Lake Road in the Town of Fayette. Robert P. Beech, 71, Blanchardville, swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control. His 2005 Toyota van traveled off the road and into the ditch. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene after it was pulled out of the ditch.
