MONROE - On Wednesday:
Jason D. Rynes, 32, Brodhead, was cited at 6:39 a.m. for driving while suspended and driving without insurance after deputies responded to the W600 block of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur, for a vehicle in the ditch. Rynes was westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle entered the north ditch where it got stuck. The vehicle was not damaged but was removed by a tow service. Rynes was released pending court.
Tyler A. Schwartzlow, 16, Brodhead, and his five passengers were uninjured after his vehicle hit a tree in the N4200 block of Park Road, Decatur Township. Schwartzlow was cited at 8:49 p.m. for a graduated driver's license violation and allowing a passenger to ride without a seatbelt. Schwartzlow was southbound on Park Road when he swerved to miss a deer on the roadway and his vehicle entered the west ditch where it hit a tree. A passenger, Bryce C. Zettle, 20, Juda, was cited for a seatbelt violation. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene. Schwartzlow and Zettle were released pending court.
