Monroe Police

MONROE - Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 11:34 p.m. Nov. 24 at the intersection of 8th Street and 4th Avenue West. Reports indicate that Ruth A. Wyss, 61, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by Amy M. Holst, 22, Monroe. Wyss was transported to the hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Wyss was cited for failure to yield from a flashing red signal light.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:36 a.m. Thursday on Jordan Center Road, north of Wis. 81 in the Town of Jordan. Reports indicate that Sam C. Hanson, 67, Monroe, was southbound on Jordan Center Road when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate front driver's side damage and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:16 a.m. Friday in the W5900 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Monroe. Reports indicate that Annette L. Schwarz, 28, Browntown, was eastbound on Wis. 11 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had severe damage and was driven from the scene.

- Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 2:02 p.m. Friday on Wis. 11/81 at Mt. Hope Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Reports indicate that Trygve J. Strommen, 74, Brodhead, was northbound on Mount Hope Road when he failed to yield the right of way and entered Wis. 11/81 and into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by James G. Cook, 22, Footville. Both vehicles had moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Strommen was transported to Monroe ER for injuries by Monroe EMS. Brodhead EMS transported a passenger in the Cook vehicle identified as Kartez D. McAdory, 31, Brodhead, to Mercy Hospital for injuries. Strommen was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Friday on County F, north of Park Road. Reports indicate that Donna L. Watts, 47, Albany, was northbound on County F when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage and it was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:39 p.m. Saturday in the W9200 block of Wis. 39, east of Wis. 78, in the Town of York. Reports indicate that Liao Tian, 24, Bloomington, Ind., was negotiating a curve eastbound on Wis. 39 when Tian lost control of his vehicle and slide into the south ditch and down an embankment. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:21 p.m. Sunday in the W6100 block of Wis. 11, east of County N/6th Avenue West, in the Town of Monroe. Reports indicate that Cynthia J. Lederman, 55, Monticello, was eastbound on Wis. 11 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:37 a.m. Nov. 22 on Wis. 78 in the Town of Blanchard. Reports indicate that Denise A. Adler, 37, Mount Horeb, hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage.

- Jodi L. Johnson, 27, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 6:48 p.m. Nov. 23 on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:43 p.m. Friday on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. Reports indicate that Raymond F. Ingold, 58, Blue Mounds, hit a deer.

- Lauren E. Welch, 25, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 8:34 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont. The vehicle had moderate damage.

- Diana L. Shager, 51, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 6:27 a.m. Sunday on Stuart Road in the Town of Wayne. The vehicle had moderate damage.

- Colton J. Piefer, 17, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 10:25 p.m. Sunday on Riverside Road in the Town of Wiota. The vehicle had moderate damage.
