Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday on County H, west of County A in the Town of York. Reports indicate that Ronald V. Strommen, 61, Blanchardville, was eastbound on County H when he lost control of his vehicle on a sharp left-hand curve and collided with a fence. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. A contributing factor to the accident was a slippery roadway.

- There was no injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:03 p.m. in the N3300 block of Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Monroe Township. Reports indicate that Shirley R. Erickson, 75, Blanchardville, was westbound on Wis. 81 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:33 p.m. Wednesday in the N4400 block of Skinner Hollow Road in the Town of Jordan. Reports indicate that Keith J. Lefebvrem, 50, New Glarus, was southbound on Skinner Hollow Road when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate front end-damage and it was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday on County G in the Town of Fayette. Reports indicate that Ismael Cervantes Hernandez, 25, Darlington, was eastbound on County G when he lost control while trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a fence. There was severe damage to the vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Hernandez was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control, operating a vehicle without insurance and operating a vehicle without a valid license.

- Sara L. Ryan, 51, Shullsburg, reported at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday hitting a deer on County Club Road in the Town of Darlington on Tuesday.

- David B. Sauder, 54, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.

- Justin L. Johnson, 26, Mineral Point, reported hitting a cow at 10:01 p.m. Wednesday on County Shop in the Town of Darlington. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The owner of the cattle responded and was able to secure the cattle into a pasture.
