New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run to a building at 1 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 500 block of 1st Street. Reports indicate that a witness saw a van with a "Rocket Rooter" sticker leaving the alley a short time later. Keith Roth, 38, Verona, hit the southwest corner of The Bramble Patch building with his company van. The vehicle and building received minor damage.

- No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 300 block of 2nd Street. Reports indicate that Walter Wray, 66, New Glarus, hit a parked vehicle while he was attempting to park. The parked vehicle received minor damage to the driver's-side rear bumper/quarter panel and Wray's vehicle received damage to the passenger-side rear quarter panel. Wray was cited for expired registration.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 7:08 a.m. Friday on Wisconsin 69, south of Exeter Crossings Road, in the Town of New Glarus. Reports indicate that Tracy R. Wing, 46, Monticello, was northbound on Wis. 69 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:23 p.m. Friday in the W6900 block of County H in the Town of New Glarus. Reports indicate that James A. Bass, 62, Madison, was westbound on County H when he hit a deer. There was severe damage to the front end of his vehicle and it was driven to a nearby residence and parked to be removed at a later time.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:03 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 81, east of County N in the Town of Monroe. Reports indicate that Joshua W. Aide, 31, Monticello, was westbound on Wis. 81 when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage to the front end and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during one-vehicle accident at 9:52 p.m. Saturday on County B, east of West River Road, in the Town of Cadiz. Reports indicate that Jacqueline A. Boss, 45, Monroe, was eastbound on County B when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage to the front end and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:54 a.m. Sunday on County KS, east of Giese Road, in the Town of Jefferson. Reports indicate that Kayce J. Thompson, 30, Brodhead, was westbound on County KS when a turkey flew across the road and Thompson hit it. The vehicle had moderate front-end damage and was driven the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the N9100 block of Wis. 92 in the Town of Exeter. Reports indicate that Tashlee A. Condon, 28, Brodhead, was northbound on Wis. 92, when a deer entered the roadway and ran in front of her vehicle. Condon made a sharp turn to the left, left the roadway and entered the west-bound ditch. The vehicle had moderate front-end damage and was towed from the ditch.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Timothy D. Klaas, 41, Fennimore, reported hitting a deer at 5:16 a.m. Friday on Wis. 23 in the Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported and the vehicle had minor damage.

- No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 8:35 a.m. Friday in the Town of Darlington. Reports indicate that David N. Jacobsen, 80, Darlington, was traveling westbound on Wis. 81, following a large field sprayer owned by Frontier FS and driven by Daniel E. Syvrud, 51, Blanchardville. Jacobsen pulled out and started to pass the machinery in a no-passing zone when Syvrud began to slow down to turn left into a field drive and Jacobsen was hit by the sprayer. There was moderate damage to the Jacobsen's vehicle and minor damage to the sprayer. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

- Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:34 p.m. Saturday on County Z in the Town of Darlington. Reports indicate that Meghan C. Johnson, 18, Darlington, was negotiating a curve when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side and Johnson overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel across the road and into the opposite ditch where it rolled over. Johnson was transported Lafayette County Memorial Hospital. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
