Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 15th Street and 17th Avenue. Police report Donna Douglas, 70, Monroe, struck a vehicle operated by Arlonia R. Jackson, 45, Monroe. The vehicles received moderate damage. Douglas was cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - One person was injured in a head-on collision at about 5 p.m. Nov. 18 on Railroad Street near 7th Avenue. Police report Michael J. Zuber, 50, New Glarus, drove left of center and struck a parked vehicle owned by Modern Heating and Cooling, Black Earth. Both vehicle received extensive damage. Zuber sustained a suspected neck injury and was transported by the New Glarus EMS and admitted to Monroe Clinic Hospital. Zuber was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and for operating left of center. A court date is scheduled.

• One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Wisconsin 69. Police report Thomas R. Giuffe, 63, Freeport, stopped his vehicle at the intersection and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Desyra D. Ott, 19, New Glarus. One passenger in the Giuffe vehicle complained of neck pain, but refused medical attention. Both vehicle received minor damage.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday on Van Matre Lane, south of Canton Drive, in the Town of Monroe. Deputies report the offending vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle and driver were located. The driver, Kristen Fay Lorraine Shager, 16, Monroe, was traveling southbound on Van Matre Lane when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the ditch, striking a mailbox and culvert. Shager sustained an injury from the crash. The vehicle received moderate to severe front-end damage. Shager was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and prohibited alcohol concentration. Shager was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to report crash to law enforcement. Shager was released pending court.

• Deputies were dispatched at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday to the W5200 block of County KK in the Town of Monroe for a report of a subject walking on foot who collided with a motor vehicle that was leaving a business parking lot. Heraycheo L. Fields, 30, Freeport, sustained minor injuries and refused EMS transport. The incident remains under investigation.

• At about 10: 30 a.m. Sunday, deputies investigated a hit-and-run traffic crash that occurred the prior evening in the W8700 block on Wis. 39 in the Town of York. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Brian R. Bunbury, 52, Clearwater, Fla., had driven through a fence, causing severe damage to the fence. The vehicle received severe damage. Incident remains under investigation with charges pending.

• Dale A. Bakke, 64, Monroe, was southbound on Buckskin Road when he collided with a deer at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on Buckskin Road, near Church Road, in the Town of Washington. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Karla M. Wells, 18, Browntown, was eastbound when she collided with a deer at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 11 at E. Murray St. in the Town of Cadiz. The vehicle received minor damage was driven from the scene.

• Crescent J. Vale, 80, Albany, was southbound when she collided with a deer at about noon Sunday on Rechsteiner Road south of County F in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Benjamin A. Crooks, 20, Blanchardville, was westbound when a deer collided with his car at abut 6:30 p.m. in the W6500 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Monroe. The car received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Samantha A. Morissey, 19, Shullsburg, was eastbound on Wis. 11 when she collided with a deer at 7:44 p.m., Sunday on Wis. 11 at County MM in the Town of Cadiz. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle roll-over reported at about 10 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 78 in Argyle township. Deputies report Timothy Lattin, 21, Argyle, was traveling on Wis. 78 when he lost control of his vehicle, and it overturned several times, coming to rest on the vehicle's roof. Lattin walked from the scene to a residence and was later transported by Argyle Ambulance to Lafayette Memorial Hospital, where he was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Lattin was arrested and cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while revoked, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, failure to fasten seatbelt, and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. The vehicle received total damage and was towed. Argyle Fire Department and Argyle Police Department also responded to the accident.

• Kyle Masbruch, 24, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Friday on County F in Fayette township.

• Ancil Norland, 52, Argyle, reported striking a deer at about 7:45 a.m. Friday on North Road in Wiota township.

• Steven Foulker, 46, Shullsburg, reported striking a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Friday on Wis. 81 in the Darlington township.

• Daniel Burkholder, 42, Camanche, Iowa, reported striking a deer with his motor cycle at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday on County G in Belmont township.

• Deputies responded with Darlington Fire Department, Rural Medical Ambulance and Darlington Police Department to a two-vehicle accident at about 2 p.m. Friday on Wis. 23 at Wis. 81 in the City of Darlington.
