Monoroe Police

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Lindsay N. Gillen, 30, Monroe, was cited at 12:25 a.m. for hit-and-run to an unattended vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident and unsafe backing after police located her vehicle following a hit-and-run accident in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Gillen was released pending court. The victim's vehicle was moderately damaged.

• Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on the Wisconsin 11 eastbound off ramp at 18th Avenue. Christopher M. Arn, 29, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by a 48-year-old woman from Monroe. Arn was cited at 8:39 p.m. for driving after revocation and no insurance. The woman reported minor injuries but declined medical treatment.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Curtiss Edward Holland, 65, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the W4100 block of County KS, Town of Jefferson, at 7:06 a.m. Holland was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Bailey J. Stephan, 17, Albany, and his passengers were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred on County E west of Condon Road, Decatur Township, at 6:58 p.m. Stephan was eastbound on County E when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene. Stephan was cited for graduated driver's license violation.

• Linda M. Baker, 65, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N5400 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of Washington, at 8:10 p.m. The deer caused minor damage to her vehicle and Baker was able to drive from the scene.

On Friday:

• Preston E. Berg, 20, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. car accident that occurred in the N9400 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of New Glarus, at 1:17 a.m. Berg was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the driver's side door of Berg's car. The car was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Katherine Kubly Marti, 28, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. car accident that occurred in the N5900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Mt. Pleasant, at 5:53 a.m. Marti was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her car. The car was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Daryll E. Schlobohm, 32, Deerfield, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on Wis. 69 south of Roundgrove Road, Town of Monroe, 6 a.m. Schlobohm was southbound on Wis. 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Robert Reynolds, 31, Blanchardville, reported no injuries in a one-vehicle accident in the W9200 block of Wisconsin 81, Adams Township, at 4:21 p.m. Reynolds was eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle and ran into the north ditch then traveling through a field before re-entering the roadway and coming to rest in the south ditch. The vehicle was severely damaged and left secured at the scene. Reynolds was transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital for medical evaluation.

• Heather N. Thoman, 38, Monroe, and her passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N6000 block of Wis. 69, Town of Mt. Pleasant, at 5:27 p.m. Thoman was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• David B. Dach, 53, Rockton, Ill., and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the W4900 block of County KK, Town of Sylvester, at 7:26 p.m. Dach was eastbound when several deer ran into the roadway and one deer hit the front portion of Dach's vehicle. The vehicle sustained very minor front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• Matthew Cody Mahr, 29, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N9000 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus, at 6:42 a.m. Mahr was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Berit K. Harpstrite, 52, Juda, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on Wis. 11 east of County OK, Spring Grove Township, at 4:38 p.m. Harpstrite was westbound on Wis. 11 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Virginia E. Gunkel, 68, Cicero, Ill., and her passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N300 block of Wis. 69, Clarno Township, at 4:45 p.m. Gunkel was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Jessica A. Wright, 26, Brodhead, was cited at 6 p.m. for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after she sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of County M and County Y, Town of Jordan. Wright was westbound on County Y when her vehicle failed to negotiate the intersection and hit the west ditch. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and came to rest in a nearby field. Wright was transported via Monroe EMS to Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of her injuries. Wright's vehicle sustained no apparent damage and was driven from the scene. Wright was released pending court. Deputies and Browntown Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• Lauryn Michell Shippy, 20, Monroe, and her three passengers were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N3600 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe, at 9:44 p.m. Shippy was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

On Sunday:

• Thomas P. Morgan, 70, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the W6300 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe, at 5:51 p.m. Morgan was eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Trevor J. Johann, 29, Fitchburg, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the N8700 block of Wisconsin 104, Town of Brooklyn, at 7:13 p.m. Johann was southbound when his vehicle hit a tall pile of dirt that had been dumped in the southbound lane. His vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene. Green and Rock County deputies, Evansville police and Brooklyn Fire Department responded to the scene.

• Kayla M. Foley, 18, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. truck accident that occurred Wis. 11 east of High School Road, Town of Sylvester, at 7:22 p.m. Foley was eastbound on Wis. 11 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her truck. The truck was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• Deputies responded at 7:12 p.m. to a hit-and-run accident on Wisconsin 11, Gratiot Township. The accident remains under investigation. Shullsburg police assisted at the scene.

On Friday:

• Kyle Jacobson, 27, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township, at 6:20 a.m.

• George Hirsbrunner, 81, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wis. 23, Darlington Township, at 6:33 p.m.

On Saturday:

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Main Street, Village of Benton. Patricia Goodwin, 31, Shullsburg, was eastbound when her vehicle hit a parked car. Goodwin was cited at 3 a.m. for inattentive driving. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• Jonathan Fawcett, 21, Benton, was cited at 7:34 a.m. for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after he sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover accident on Bean Street, Benton Township. Fawcett was eastbound when he reportedly fell asleep, traveled into the oncoming lane and then into the ditch line. The vehicle hit several small trees, went airborne and landed in a stream overturning onto the driver's side. Fawcett exited the vehicle prior to first responders arriving. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

• A manure truck rolled over and spilled manure onto a yard and the roadway of Furnace Hill Road, Willow Springs Township, at 11:35 a.m. The truck slid into a tree on the side of the road. A deputy and the Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.

• Carmen McDonald, 43, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with her vehicle at 5:25 p.m. on County Shop Road, Darlington Township.

On Sunday:

• Randall Smith, 58, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wisconsin 78, Wiota Township, at 1:21 p.m.

• Kyle Utecht, 2, Fremont, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on U.S. 151, Belmont Township, at 7:18 p.m.
