MONROE POLICE
MONROE - On Friday, one driver was injured at 8:02 a.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Wisconsin 11 and 18th Avenue. Kenneth C. Heimann, 82, Gratiot, rear-ended a vehicle stopped at the intersection. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Heimann was cited for following too closely. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
On Sunday, no injuries were reported at 3:04 a.m. after a hit-and-run accident in the
500 block of 10th Avenue. Austin D. Colliers, 18, Monroe, left the roadway while turning onto 10th Avenue, striking a retaining wall and a mailbox. Colliers abandoned his vehicle and returned to his residence, where police apprehended him. He was arrested on a probation and parole warrant and was cited for failing to maintain control of his vehicle, committing a hit-and-run, and failing to notify police of an accident. Colliers was jailed.
NEW GLARUS POLICE
NEW GLARUS - On Thursday, no injuries were reported at 10:08 p.m. after a vehicle struck a power pole in the W7800 block. The driver fled the scene.
On Friday, two people were injured at 9:14 a.m. after police assisted the Dane County Sheriff's Office with rollover accident near the intersection of County PB and Wis. 69.

MONROE - On Friday:
No injuries were reported at 5:06 p.m. after Eric D. Ambler, 43, Monroe, struck a deer in the W2400 block of Wis. 59, Town of Decatur. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 5:22 p.m. after Kally J. A. Powell, 29, Albany, struck a deer in the N7100 block of County E, Town of Albany. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 6:10 p.m. after Patricia M. Bump, 49, Belleville, struck a deer in the N9300 block of County O, Town of New Glarus. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 7:29 p.m. after Marcus R. Neumann, 59, Brodhead, struck a deer in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
On Saturday:
No injuries were reported at 8:16 p.m. after Randy G. Legler, 66, Belleville, struck a deer in the N9500 block of County D, Town of Exeter. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 9:17 p.m. after Julie M. Goecks, 51, Monticello, struck a deer in the W5900 block of Wis. 39, Town of New Glarus. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On Sunday:
Brad A. Putnam, 37, Albany, was injured at 8:23 a.m. after he struck a cow in the 500 block of East Coates Avenue in Monticello. Putnam was transported to an area hospital. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. The cow's owner was identified as Jeffrey S. Zuber, 58, Monticello.
