MONROE - A 12-year-old Brooklyn boy, Nathaniel A. Judd, was taken by private vehicle to Stoughton Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained when a vehicle hit him in the N7800 block of Wisconsin 104 in Brooklyn Township on Thursday, May 2. Deputies responded to the scene at 7:06 p.m. The boy was standing on the east side of the road by a mailbox when a southbound driver, Charles T. Parrish, 77, Lanark, Ill., saw him and slowed slightly to about 50 mph. Judd suddenly entered the road and darted into the path of Parrish's vehicle. Parrish took evasive action but was unable to avoid hitting the boy. Parrish and his passenger, Babette R. Gaus, 38, Lanark, reported no injuries. The vehicle was undamaged. No citations were issued stemming from the accident.
