Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:

• Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on County I, New Diggings Township, at 3:18 p.m. Scott R. Clark, 45, Marion, Iowa, was northbound on County I when he failed to negotiate a curve, began to skid out of control and went into the ditch. Clark and his passenger Katherine E. Ciha, 29, Atkins, Iowa, were ejected from the bike as it tipped over in the ditch. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Dubuque Hospital via Hazel Green EMS. Benton First Response, Benton Fire Department, deputies and JoDaviess County Sheriff's Department assisted on scene. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• Amy M. Sigmon, 30, San Jose, Ill., was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on U.S. 151, Kendall Township, at 8:25 p.m. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• Gina M. Raymond, 34, Madison, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on County O, Seymour Township, at 9:55 p.m. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage.

On Sunday:

• William P. Blair, 22, Apple River, Ill., was injured in a one-vehicle accident on County W, Monticello Township. Blair was eastbound when he lost control, drove across the roadway and into the ditch where his vehicle hit a power pole. Shullsburg EMS treated him at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, but he refused medical transportation. Blair was arrested at 9:22 p.m. for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain control. He was later released to a responsible party. Blair's 1999 Pontiac sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Apple River Fire Department assisted with traffic control on County W, as traffic had to be rerouted around the incident due to unstable utility poles and power lines.

• Chad M. Mau, 36, Darlington, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on County G, Willow Springs Township, at 9:30 p.m. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

On Monday:

• Tyler R. Smith, 18, Darlington, was uninjured after he reported his vehicle hit a dog on County F, Willow Springs Township, at 10:44 a.m.

• Kelly A. Neuenschwander, 19, Gratiot, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on County N, Blanchardville Township, at 1:35 p.m. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Hector Yovani Muxtay-Saquec, 29, Darlington, was uninjured in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township. Muxtay-Saquec failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the west side of the roadway, overturning into the ditch line. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Muxtay-Saquec was cited at 5:30 p.m. for failure to keep a vehicle under control, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident of two unoccupied vehicles in the 300 block of 5th Avenue at 2:23 p.m. Sunday. Investigation revealed that a 1989 Jeep was unattended and parked. The Jeep rolled forward and hit another parked vehicle. Minor damage was reported, and the investigation continues.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday:

• No injuries were reported in a vehicle vs. turkey crash in the W400 block of County F, Town of Decatur, at 6:42 a.m. Scott L. Johnson, 45, Monroe, was eastbound when a turkey flew out of a ditch and hit the grill of his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Lisa R. Anderson, 42, Brodhead, was uninjured after her vehicle hit a traffic sign in the N4500 block of County E, Town of Decatur, at 1:20 p.m. Anderson was negotiating a curve when she reported a mechanical issue with the steering caused her vehicle to drive off the roadway and hit a sign. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Richard W. McLoud, 32, Monroe, sustained non-life-threatening injuries after his vehicle side-swiped a bridge in the N1600 block of Bethel Road, Town of Clarno. McLoud was northbound when he hit the bridge, entered the ditch and then hit a fence. He was transported via Green County EMS for injuries suffered in the crash. His vehicle was moderately damaged and later removed by a private party. McLoud was cited at 7:18 p.m. for driving a vehicle with no insurance and released pending court.

• Rosemary K. Erickson, 60, New Glarus, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W6400 block of Wisconsin 39, Town of York, at 7:55 p.m. Erickson was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
