MONROE - Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Five Corner Road and Bauman Road in the Town of Jefferson. Samantha Stoneback, 20, Brodhead, was traveling south on Five Corner Road, and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The vehicle slid across Bauman Road then vaulted off an embankment and over a creek, landing in a pasture. Stoneback and her two passengers, Halie Pinnow, 20, Brodhead, and Amanda Meighan, 18, Monroe, received injuries and were transported to the Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment. Stoneback and Pinnow were both wearing seat belts and Meighan was not. Stoneback was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and Meighan was cited for a seatbelt violation. Both were released pending court.
• Ashley R. Brewer, 26, Albany, reported her vehicle had been sideswiped by an unknown light-colored vehicle at about 6:45 a.m. Thursday. The unknown vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle received minor damage. The incident remains under investigation.
