Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 59 and Burkhalter Road in Sylvester Township. Deputies report Kendra S. Leslie, 24, Albany, was westbound when she lost control on a curve and collided with the ditch. Leslie was transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital for injuries. The vehicle received damage and was towed. Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS also responded.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday on Allen Road just north of County B in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies report Greg A. Johnsrud, 43, rural Browntown, was northbound and just crested a hill when he swerved to miss two deer on the road. The vehicle left the road on the west side and struck an embankment. The vehicle received damage and was towed from the scene.

• Harlan A. Duerst, 81, New Glarus, collided with a deer at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the W4500 block of Kubly Road, New Glarus Township. The vehicle received damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 81 in Darlington Township. Deputies report Megan Johnson, 17, Darlington, pulled to the right as if she were about to make a right turn onto Lange Road, when she began a U-turn. A second vehicle, driven by Rachel Ellis, 20, Belmont, who was following Johnson, was unable to avoid striking Johnson's vehicle. Rural Medical Ambulance and Darlington Fire Department also responded.

• No one was injured in a motor vehicle accident at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Penn Street in the Village of Belmont. No further details were available.

• Eric Dagle, 44, Warren, Ill., reported striking a deer at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday on County KK in the Gratiot Township.

• Trent Ubersox, 21, Shullsburg, reported striking a deer at about midnight Friday on County W in New Diggings Township. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
