Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 11th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Samantha L. Quesnell, 23, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Timothy J. Knox, 52, Monroe. Quesnell was cited for failure to yield right of way.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 1 a.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 11 east of Smock Valley Road in Monroe Township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Todd M. Anglin, 26, rural Monroe was eastbound when he spun out of control and collided with a second vehicle driven by Delbert E. Rosenstiel, 68, rural Monroe. Both vehicles received very severe damages and were towed from the scene. Anglin was arrested for second-offense driving while under the influence of alcohol and cited for criminal operating after revocation, knowingly operating after revocation causing damage; and operating without insurance and driving too fast for fast for conditions. Anglin was released pending court.

- No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 5 a.m. Sunday on Brooklyn-Albany Road. Deputies report Steven M. Schliem, 34, Albany, was southbound on County E. Anna M. Landmark, 33, rural Albany, was westbound and stopped at the stop sign on Brooklyn-Albany Road and County E. Landmark did not observe Schliem and proceeded into the intersection. Schliem was unable to stop and struck the Landmark vehicle. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were capable of being driven from scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 5 a.m. Sunday in the N1500 block of Bethel Road. Deputies report that Andrew R. Rufer, 24, Monroe, reported he was southbound when he fell asleep, and the car left the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Rufer was cited for failure to maintain control and released pending court.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 3:45 a.m. Saturday in the W6400 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of New Glarus. Deputies report Minda L. Saalsaa, 23, Argyle, was eastbound, negotiating a curve, when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle spun on the roadway and then left the roadway and came to rest straddling the ditch line on the north side of the roadway. The vehicle received moderate damage and will be towed from the scene. Saalsaa was cited for driving too fast for conditions and mandatory seatbelt violation. She was released pending court.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 9 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 104 south of Elmer Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Deputies report a pickup truck towing an empty cattle trailer, driven by James H. Armbruster, 72, Lodi, was southbound on Wis. 104 when the pickup and trailer began to fishtail. Armbruster lost control of the truck, and trailer then jackknifed. The pickup went off the west side of the road into the ditch and struck an embankment. The pickup received extensive damage, and the trailer received minor damage. Both were towed from the scene. Albany Police Department also responded.

- No injuries were reported from two separate one-vehicle accidents at about 6:45 a.m. Friday on County T near Half Way Tree Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Deborah R. Hartley, 42, rural Beloit, was southbound on County T when she struck debris scattered on the highway, which was cargo from an unknown vehicle. Her vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. A second vehicle driven by Joseph M. Debuque Sr., 39, Beloit, was northbound on County T when he had also struck the debris. His vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation. The Brodhead Police Department assisted at the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover accident at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday on County F in the Town of Darlington. Deputies report Taryn E. Evenstad, 18, Darlington, was eastbound when she lost control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle traveled across the road and into the ditch where it went through a fence before rolling over and coming to a rest on its wheels. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
