Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the N7400 block of Wisconsin 69, Deputies report a vehicle driven by Anthony D. Hayes, 21, Poynette, with a juvenile passenger, had been southbound, and Hayes was making a U-turn when his vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Lynette S. Mair, 51, Gratiot. Both vehicles received moderate damage. The Hayes vehicle was towed and the Mair vehicle was driven from the scene. Hayes was cited for failure to yield the right of way when making a U-turn. Mair was cited for driving without liability insurance. New Glarus Police, Fire and EMS departments also responded.

-A semi driven by Michael J. Jones, 27, South Bend, Ind., and a deer collided at about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in the W8000 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz. The semi received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Wis. 81 and County O. Deputies report Anna E. Crooks, 32, Darlington, was westbound on Wis. 81 when a truck driven by Jeffery L. Gerrits, 53, Kaukauna, pulled onto County O from a stop sign and struck the Crooks vehicle. Crooks was transported by Rural Medical Ambulance to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The Crooks vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The truck received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Gerrits was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
