NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - A hit-and-run was reported at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at a business lot in the 1300 block of Wisconsin 69. No description of the offending vehicle is known. Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact the police department.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Saturday, a driver sustained minor injuries at 12:05 a.m. after a rollover accident on County Y, Town of Wiota. Francisco Lopez Evodio, 44, Monroe, failed to negotiate a corner and entered a ditch, striking a power pole and overturning. Evodio declined medical attention. He was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain control of his vehicle and driving without proof of vehicle insurance. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:45 a.m. after Jeremy L. Smith, 37, Darlington, struck a deer on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• No injuries were reported at 7:16 p.m. after Kristin L. Auz, 230, Platteville, struck a deer on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage.
