Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Eighth Street and Fourth Avenue West. Helen E. Gobeli, 91, Monroe, was cited for failing to stop at a red traffic signal light. Gobeli struck a vehicle operated by Deborah S. Ruchti, 56, Monroe. There was moderate damage to both vehicles.

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 12:52 p.m. Tuesday on Wisconsin 104 near Borchardt Road in Decatur township. Deputies determined that a vehicle driven by Adam Schutz, 18, Monroe, was attempting to turn out of a Rock County township road onto 104 when he entered the ditch. The vehicle received minor front-end damage and was towed form the scene. Schutz was arrested for first offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Schutz was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol content of .10 or higher, underage consumption of alcohol, open intoxicants in the vehicle and driving too fast for conditions. Schutz was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.

• A vehicle driven by Steve E. Hubert, 57, Albany, hit a deer around 6 a.m. Tuesday in the W1800 block of Puritan Road in Albany township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Kendra M. Lagrange, 22, Monroe hit a deer around 7 a.m. Tuesday on Wis. 69 near County NN, New Glarus. The vehicle received minor damage.
